About My IP Is
My IP Is is a simple, free tool that shows you your public IP address — both IPv4 and IPv6 — along with your approximate location, internet provider, and browser details. No sign-up, no apps, no clutter: open the page and the answer is right there.
Why we built it
"What's my IP?" is one of those questions everyone needs answered occasionally — setting up a game server, troubleshooting a connection, checking that a VPN is working, or allow-listing your address somewhere. Most tools that answer it are slow, cluttered with pop-ups, or quietly harvest your data. We wanted a version that is fast, honest, and respectful of your privacy.
Privacy first
The site is stateless: it reads your IP from your connection, shows it to you, and moves on. We don't create accounts, we don't store or sell your IP address, and geolocation is done on our own server from a local database — your address isn't shipped off to a third party to look it up. You can read the details in our privacy policy.
Fast and lightweight
The page is server-rendered and works even with JavaScript turned off. There's no heavy framework and no unnecessary scripts, so it loads quickly on any connection or device. There's also a plain-text and JSON API if you'd like to fetch your IP from a script or the command line.

If you're curious about how any of this works, we write plain-English guides on IP addresses, IPv4 vs IPv6, and keeping your IP private.
